Viral free Halloween game lets you carve pumpkins with 800 other players

Pumpkin carving is a classic Halloween activity, and this free online game lets you enjoy it virtually! You can decorate pumpkins and a charming town without any mess.

The Annual Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival, created by Adam Robinson-Yu – the developer behind the popular game A Short Hike – began in 2020 as a way to bring some Halloween fun to people stuck at home during the pandemic. It allowed them to enjoy the spooky season without leaving their houses.

Players start by designing a cute little ghost character. Then, they can carve pumpkins and decorate the town with them. Plus, there are tons of fun side activities to enjoy as you explore!

This popular event is back for another year, and it’s grown significantly! It now has space for 800 participants, a big increase from the 200 it could hold in the past.

The developer hinted at more content coming soon, including new locations and hidden discoveries. One example is the Ghost Town Cinema, where players can watch classic silent films.

Get ready for fall! The Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival returns in 2025! 🎃 This year, you can join up to 800 other players in our pumpkin carving MMO, and explore new areas with hidden secrets. 👻
