VIractal: World of Viractalia full release is now available on PC via Steam

Sting has officially released Version 1.0 of their PC game, VIractal: World of Viractalia, on Steam. This RPG, inspired by board games and created by the team behind Yggdra Union, is now fully available after being in Early Access since last September.

Update 1.0.0 introduces Mugi the Kobold as a playable character and a new stage, “Memories of the Journey,” which blends content from the first three Early Access stages. Players can now use DP to gift items to their allies, and the game has been rebalanced for improved gameplay.

Viractal has officially launched, and Version 1.0.0 is now available!

We listened to all your feedback during Early Access and have used it to add new levels and characters, introduce features you’ve been asking for, and completely rebalance the game. With these changes, Viractal is now officially released in its final version.

Below is an overview of the major content included in Version 1.0.0.

New Stage: “Memories of the Journey”

A new stage, “Memories of the Journey,” has been unlocked, bringing together elements from three previous adventures.

An adventure that unravels the memories of the heroes is about to begin.

This step brings together everything done previously by breaking it down into sections and merging those sections into one large, comprehensive map.

Players need to divide and conquer this map by tackling quests unique to each area, which means working together is crucial for success.

The stage culminates in a challenging boss rush, where you’ll face all three bosses from earlier levels! Successfully completing this final challenge will reveal the shared memories of the heroes and those who fought alongside them.

What awaits the heroes at the end of their journey…?

New Character: “Mugi the Kobold”

A brand-new character, Mugi the Kobold, joins the adventure!

A monster selectively bred by a mage,
Mugi the Kobold finally joins the party as an ally.

Mugi is a character who plays very aggressively, focusing on skills that get stronger when you use the same card multiple times. They also have incredibly powerful trump cards that disappear after being used just once.

Note: Mugi the Kobold can be unlocked at the Alchemy Table.

New Feature: “Give Items”

The current turn player can now spend DP to give items to their allies.

As a player, I love how the GM can magically get items to us, no matter where our party is! It’s awesome that distance isn’t a problem – we can get help or supplies instantly when we need it.

The latest update, “Memories of the Journey,” introduces a huge map that really emphasizes teamwork. Use this new map to help you succeed on your adventures!

Adjustments

  • Reduced the self-damage of the skill card “Raging Strike+”

  • The benefit from the “Smooth Talker” ability now continues even after the Meditation status effect is already active.

  • Changed the charge resource of the Sniper skill card “Lunatic” from Will of Wisdom to Will of Dignity

  • Adjusted the merchant Maron’s description text on the Game Room “Shelf” screen

  • Removed the Help entry for speed-up mode and added speed-up information to controller controls

  • Sped up damage display for multi-hit skill cards

  • Adjusted the icons for status effects “〇〇 Element Weakness” and “〇〇 Element Weakness+”

  • Modified the “Disassembly Manual” to give a chance of gaining an ability that’s helpful against the current boss.

  • Adjusted “Treasure Map” so that only rare treasure chest tiles appear

  • Reduced the selling price of “〇〇 Regalia”

  • As a huge fan, I’m really excited about this update! They’ve tweaked those awesome Growth, Speed, Battle, Brainwash, and Insight Waters – you know, the ones with the plus versions too. Now, when you use any of them, you get to choose between two different abilities instead of just getting one. It adds a whole new level of strategy to battles, which is fantastic!

Bug Fixes

Field

  • We fixed a bug that caused enemies to sometimes spawn in the wrong locations at the beginning of battles triggered by events.

  • We resolved a problem that could cause the game to freeze while creating a map when loading save files from older versions (0.2.x or earlier).

  • We fixed a problem where the background music would get too quiet after defeating the Bandit Leader boss in the Dragon’s Garden stage.

Battle

  • Fixed invisible collision on battle maps that caused enemy corpses to collide

  • Fixed action prediction icons for certain enemies

  • Fixed an issue where bonus damage effects on the first turn were lost after using items

  • We fixed a bug that sometimes gave enemies the Multicast buff even after being defeated by the recoil damage from the ability “Pleasure of Self-Sacrifice.”

  • Fixed an issue where enemy details could be viewed for defeated enemies under certain conditions

  • We fixed a bug that sometimes allowed characters to take actions even after their health had dropped to zero. This happened when damage that drained health was reflected back onto the attacker.

Other

  • We fixed a problem where the card type and starting deck selection windows would stay visible on the Game Room screen even after you’d finished using them.

  • Fixed an issue where some ambient sounds continued playing when remaining turns reached zero

  • We fixed a bug where the “Not Owned” label wasn’t updating its color after you obtained new cards if you weren’t playing in Japanese.
