Has the rumored feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson come to an end? This was one of the most intriguing topics at the 2025 Golden Globes, but any lingering doubts have been put to rest by none other than Diesel himself. The actor shared a friendly throwback photo with Johnson on his Instagram account, accompanied by the caption: “All love…always.” In the picture, Diesel has his arm around a smiling Johnson and gives a thumbs up to the camera, making it clear that their disagreement is now a thing of the past.

The Diesel-Johnson dispute gained widespread attention in August 2016 following a heated exchange on Instagram where Johnson criticized his “cowardly” and “weak” co-star. It was later revealed that this criticism was directed towards Diesel, with whom Johnson had been working on several “Fast and Furious” films. The tension between them escalated during the filming of “The Fate of the Furious”.

At the 2025 Golden Globes, Diesel was the presenter who handed out the award for cinematic and box office success to “Wicked.” As he prepared to speak, he noticed Johnson in the audience and nervously giggled, addressing him as “Hey, Dwayne.” The camera focused on Johnson giving an uneasy smile. This moment brought laughter from the crowd due to the turbulent past between these two actors, sparking much speculation on social media about their current relationship status.

2021 saw Diesel reveal to Men’s Health that his firm approach towards The Rock, aimed at eliciting top-notch performances, was the root cause of the strained relations observed on the set of “The Fate of the Furious”.

Vin Diesel stated that playing the Hobbs character was challenging. At the time, his method involved providing a lot of constructive criticism to help bring the performance up to par. As a producer, taking Dwayne Johnson, who was known for wrestling, and making audiences see him as an unfamiliar character required a great deal of effort. We had to work hard to achieve this, and at times I had to be tough in my approach, though not to the extent of Fellini. I would do whatever necessary to get strong performances from the actors in any project I was producing.

Diesel tried to resolve the disagreement with Johnson regarding the “Fast” franchise towards the end of that year, inviting him back for “Fast X.” However, at the time, Johnson stated he wouldn’t be returning. It turned out that wasn’t true. Their feud seemed to have ended when Johnson surprised fans by appearing as Luke Hobbs in a mid-credits scene for “Fast X.” Now, they will be working together again in the upcoming 11th “Fast” film.

During last summer, Vin and I chose to leave our past issues behind us,” Johnson posted on Twitter following the release of “Fast X” in summer 2023. “From now on, we’ll prioritize brotherhood, resolve any differences, and ensure the well-being of the cherished franchise, characters, and FANS.

It seems that, based on Diesel’s recent Instagram post, the disagreement between the two actors has seemingly been put to rest, contrary to the assumptions sparked following the Golden Globes.
