UPS driver goes viral being chased by “mean” turkeys who just won’t give up

A delivery driver became an internet sensation after a funny video showed him being pursued by a group of wild turkeys. He jokingly said he was overwhelmed by the situation as the birds ran towards his van.

Delivery drivers face many challenges on the job. They have to deal with all kinds of weather, potential issues with re-delivering packages if someone isn’t home, and even occasional navigation errors – sometimes their GPS can lead them astray!

They also frequently ask you to keep your pets inside, to prevent them from being pursued by security dogs.

A UPS driver in Branford, Connecticut, recently faced a surprising challenge: not a dog, but a group of persistent wild turkeys that wouldn’t let him complete his deliveries.

A TikTok user named hindy007 posted videos of a driver on February 15th, and they’ve quickly become popular. One video shows the driver running, set to the theme song from the movie Jackass.

In a different part of the video, the driver is heard pleading for assistance from people nearby, describing the turkeys as aggressive after they surrounded his van and trapped him inside.

“They’re after me!” he shouted, quickly dropping off a package before scrambling back to his van as a flock of turkeys pursued him. “I’m too old for this! Seriously, come on!”

The video has been widely shared on social media, including by the New York Post on X (formerly Twitter), and has gained over a million views.

Viewers reacted to the video with humor, with one joking about a past Thanksgiving incident. Another commented that the delivery driver featured in the clip deserved extra pay due to a difficult work situation. Many found the video increasingly funny with repeated viewings, with one person saying they’d watched it around 20 times.
