EA has released details about update 1.0.1.0 for Battlefield 6. While the game officially launches tomorrow, October 10th, some players like reviewers and content creators have already been trying it out. Our reviewer, Darius Matusiak, said that Battlefield 6 “appears to be improving and capturing the spirit of the classic games we all enjoyed.” This update includes a variety of fixes and improvements based on feedback from playtesting, beta weekends, and the development process, all aimed at eliminating bugs and making the game more balanced.
Pre-launch patch: Battlefield 6 1.0.1.0 update notes are here
This update includes a lot of improvements, such as changes to how players jump while sliding, the handling of helicopters, and many adjustments to weapons and gadgets. You can find the complete list of changes on EA’s website, where the Battlefield 6 team has provided a detailed explanation.

Okay, so the *Battlefield 6* team finally gave us the quick version of this big update. Basically, they’ve tweaked movement – sliding doesn’t launch you as far, jumps aren’t as high, and shooting while moving or sliding is less accurate. It makes things a little more grounded, I guess. They’ve also reworked the Rush and Breakthrough maps to make them fairer for both sides. Plus, they’ve made improvements to how we move around all the maps, fixed up the lighting, and boosted performance overall. It should make the game feel a lot smoother!
I’m so excited! Battlefield 6 is finally out tomorrow for everyone! If you haven’t gotten a chance to play yet, you’ll be able to jump in on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC – it’s coming to both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
