A new horror TV series, adapted from a popular book, has found an ideal actor for a guest appearance. Although horror films remain incredibly popular, the genre is thriving on television too, leading to more and more horror novels being turned into TV shows.
Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s recent project, It: Welcome to Derry, has quickly become a fan favorite. The show, available on HBO Max, demonstrates that horror can be just as thrilling and terrifying on television as it is in movies. Due to its success, the Muschiettis are already developing a second season, Welcome to Derry.

The Final Girl Support Group Needs A Jamie Lee Curtis Cameo
Since the book centers around slasher films from the 70s and 80s, most of the original actors are still living. However, featuring them all would overshadow the book’s compelling story and well-developed characters. It’s also important to let the actors playing the final girls—who haven’t been revealed yet—have their moment in the spotlight.
Honestly, if there’s one cameo I’d absolutely love to see, it’s Jamie Lee Curtis. She’s truly the ultimate scream queen! Everyone knows her as Laurie Strode from the original Halloween, the movie that basically launched the whole slasher genre, and she continued that legacy through six sequels. Beyond that, she’s starred in other fantastic horror films like Prom Night and Terror Train, and even showed off her comedic timing as Dean Munsch in Scream Queens. She’s a true icon!
Jamie Lee Curtis has starred in many horror films beyond just slasher movies, and her impact on the genre is huge. If producers could pick one actress to represent the iconic ‘scream queen,’ it would definitely be her.
