
After being available for nearly two weeks, Battlefield 6 players have probably run into some computer-controlled bots in online matches. The development team is working to fix this and plans to release an update for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S that will reduce the number of bots in games.
The teams at Battlefield Studios—which includes developers like Criterion, DICE, Motive, and Ripple Effect—announced on X (formerly Twitter) on October 21st that they’re making some improvements to the game’s servers. These updates will allow more players to join games and reduce the number of bots.

So, the devs are tackling those annoying bots in Battlefield 6, but they’re also working on some stuff behind the scenes to improve matchmaking and stop people from just grinding for XP. They haven’t given a firm date on when these changes will hit, but they promised a more detailed breakdown of what they’re doing on October 22nd. As of today, though, that update hasn’t dropped yet. I’m keeping an eye on the official Battlefield Comms account, and I’ll update you all as soon as I see anything new!
In a review of Battlefield 6, TopMob awarded it a score of 7 out of 10. Critic Richard Wakeling noted that the game represents a step in the right direction, though it doesn’t quite reach the best moments in the series’ history.
Battlefield 6 is now available to play on computers, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game’s first new season of content launches on October 28th.
