Weekly tasks in The Dreaming City, known as Ascendant Challenges, focus on platforming skills and offer unique rewards tailored to this location. These tasks are essential for unlocking the Cursebreaker title and achieving several triumphs, making them important for both beginners and seasoned players.
Even though the game doesn’t provide a clear explanation of where these challenges are located, let me share with you this week’s Ascendant Challenge along with the complete rotation and rewards for Revenant Act 3.
What is the Ascendant Challenge in Destiny 2 this week?
This week’s featured Ascendant Challenge is titled “Sharpened Peaks,” and it will stay active until the next weekly refresh on January 28, 2025.
Upon reaching the spot depicted in the following image, you’ll need to acquire the Ascendance boost to expose climbable platforms for the Ascendant Challenge. To get this, consume a Tincture of Queensfoil and utilize the exposed platforms to climb upwards and access the nearby portal.
Where is the Ascendant Challenge located?
To conquer the Keep of Honed Edges challenge, first navigate your way to The Dreaming City. Then, direct yourself towards the northeastern part of Rheasilvia. After that, keep moving northeast until you encounter a vast monastery. Lastly, traverse the central pathway within this structure to complete your journey.
Ultimately, you’ll arrive at Harbinger’s Sanctum, where you can proceed along the correct course after encountering a cluster of Taken adversaries. Again, move forward beyond the vast chamber and the winding staircase that ensues.
As you advance sufficiently, you’ll come across a bridge, leading to a statue with a portal floating above its summit. This is the Ascendant Challenge, which can be accessed by consuming a Tincture of Queensfoil and scaling it, or bypassing the climbing with the help of Stasis and Strand subclasses’ abilities that bypass platforming altogether.
Ascendant Challenge rotation in Revenant Act 3
For the complete Ascendant Challenge sequence during Revenant Act 3, the activity will alternate weekly between these highlighted challenges and locations:
1. Featured challenge A at location X.
2. Featured challenge B at location Y.
3. Back to featured challenge A at location Z.
4. Featured challenge C at location W.
5. And so on, following this pattern for the entire week.
