Following a seemingly prolonged period without much news, developers have at last unveiled numerous modifications and enhancements that are set for the game in the aftermath of the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event.
One of the significant enhancements includes benefits, which can be thought of as “character-specific advantages” that players can earn during gameplay. Since it’s confirmed they will be introduced in the next season, it would be beneficial to learn about them beforehand.
Familiarizing yourself with the features each character offers will enable you to grasp your opponents’ strategies and plan your own moves accordingly. Here’s a rundown of all available perks:

Overwatch 2 minor and major perks explained
Benefits are additional enhancements that can be earned for a hero’s equipment. These serve as power-ups or modifications to a character’s current skills. For instance, an Ana who usually doesn’t inflict headshot damage could do so once you opt for the benefit that triggers this feature.
Each hero will have four perks to choose from in the game, divided into minor and major perks.
According to the Spotlight Event, smaller benefits function similarly to light enhancements. They provide a “modest enhancement” that may include reduced cooldown times or small passive abilities.
From my gaming perspective, on the flip side, significant bonuses translate into potent enhancements for my hero’s arsenal. These perks can totally reshape my playstyle for the remainder of the game, often granting my character additional game-altering effects and even new abilities in certain scenarios.
During the game, players are initially offered a selection of two lesser bonuses at the onset, which later escalates to two more significant advantages as the game unfolds.
