Umamusume’s El Condor Pasa and Tokai Teio get massive Mexico City murals

Okay, so I just heard this is WILD – someone painted massive murals of El Condor Pasa and Tokai Teio, two of my favorite Umamusume girls, in Mexico City! And apparently, they look AMAZING. As a huge fan, I’m seriously blown away that they’re getting this kind of love and recognition over there!

Umamusume fans have shown incredible dedication to the game and the real-life horses that inspired its characters. They’ve gone above and beyond by sending gifts to virtual horses like Haru Urara, raising over $600,000 to help rebuild the stable of Meisho Doto, and even restoring the grave of Mejiro Ardan.

A gifted Mexican street artist named ekns01 recently showed their love for the game by creating beautiful murals of El Condor Pasa and Tokai Teio. These murals have quickly become a hit with Uma Musume fans globally.

Umamusume horse girl murals appear in Mexico

On June 16th, ekns01 shared pictures of a mural they created called “El Condor Pasa.” It features their character, a horse girl wearing her racing gear, running to win a race.

The artist announced this mural is the first of several pieces celebrating Umamusume, with plans for more art, collaborations, and even giveaways coming soon.

One person called it a favorite, adding they wish they were in Mexico to enjoy it, hoping to do so when they eventually return. Another commenter praised the artist, wondering if there’s anything they can’t do well, referencing their other anime-inspired creations.

The artist has shared photos of more of their murals, including artwork featuring characters from Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (Tokai Teio), Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Apothecary Diaries (Maomao), and Look Back.

You can find the El Condor Pasa mural in Mexico City’s Tlahuac borough at the corner of Gitana and Eduardo Tejeda, close to the Yaxche preschool. The Tokai Teio mural is painted on the wall of the Luis Peniche Vallado Primary School in the Zapotitla neighborhood, also in Tlahuac.

Viral Umamusume art isn’t new this year. Fans of Forza Horizon 6 have also been sharing cars decorated with horse-girl themes, and a specially designed Uma BMW even raced in a real competition.
