How Survivors and Game Setup Work in Achilles Survivor

When embarking on a run in Achilles Survivor, you’ll first need to select a realm, which encompasses a specific setting or environment. Within this realm, you’ll then pick a location, where the boss and other enemies will appear based on your choice. Lastly, you’ll decide on a character, or survivor, to play as, whose class influences your initial power and bonus statistics.

As a gamer, I traverse through various realms and locations, conquering earlier ones and accomplishing objectives to gain access to new areas. On the flip side, each survivor possesses a unique achievement that must be completed before they become playable. To uncover the tasks necessary to unlock each survivor, simply hover over their icon while navigating the survivor selection menu.

Important Things to Do on the Map During a Run

During your games of Achilles Survivor, you’ll deplete two resources: gold and stone. You earn gold (which is used for rerolls) by defeating special enemies, finishing rifts and other enemy spawners, as well as opening chests. These items appear throughout the map and are marked on the mini-map located at the top right corner.

Instead, stones can be extracted from stone quarries by constructing them (blue circles on the minimap indicate construction spots) or by gathering stone slab spawns. Buildings offer additional benefits and characteristics vital for each playthrough. To erect a building, you should navigate to one of the available construction sites marked on the map, denoted by flags or small blue circles. The primary material required for building construction is stone.

The main structure is referred to as the Forge, where you enhance your skills. All other structures offer general benefits, like inflicting damage in their vicinity, summoning allies for combat, or enabling healing. It’s a good idea to build structures whenever possible, particularly Fiery Turrets, which boost your Power Damage by 15%.

How Favors Work in Achilles Survivor

The “Favors” feature serves as an upgrade system, enhancing your power for subsequent gameplay sessions. You can access these enhancements from the main menu, with a total of sixteen options available. Four of these upgrades are linked to structures, while the remaining twelve impact the attributes of your survivors.

Upgrading Favors requires two resources: Obols and Adamant, which you can acquire by finishing runs and achieving milestones. It’s free to return any spent Obols or Adamant back to your inventory. A balanced approach is generally the best strategy when it comes to upgrading them. Don’t forget to reset the Favors after accumulating 420 Obols, as this will maximize a single Favor and grant you access to the Priest survivor.
