Amazon is currently selling the Arcade1Up Class of ’81 Countercade for $150, which is its original price. It had been selling for $168 for the past few months. This countertop arcade machine, featuring Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, was back in stock in late August after selling out during the last holiday season. Amazon also restocked the Arcade1Up Pac-Man Countercade at $150 in late September, after it had been unavailable since early April.
These small arcade cabinets come with three classic Namco games already installed, a 7-inch vertical screen, and full-size arcade controls. We anticipate they’ll be a hit this holiday season, just like last year. The new Classic Special Edition Arcade Cabinets from Arcade1Up – featuring Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Mortal Kombat – are also expected to be popular. These offer a more affordable way to enjoy arcade games compared to Arcade1Up’s larger, Deluxe models.

Check out photos of the Class of ’81 and Pac-Man Countercade below. We’ve also put together a list of all the Arcade1Up machines currently available, including the special and deluxe versions, as well as head-to-head models and others.
Arcade1Up’s Countercades are good, but for the best small arcade machine, we recommend the Evercade Alpha Bartop Arcade. While the Mega Man and Street Fighter versions are sold out, a new Taito Edition will be released on November 12th. It costs $260, which is more than other options, but the Alpha is a better-built machine and comes with 10 games. Plus, it supports a large library of game cartridges available separately. You can read our full review from last year to learn more about this impressive machine.

Okay, so Arcade1Up’s Classic Special Editions are basically like the cabinets they first released – you probably saw them at Walmart or Target. They cost $334, stand about 4 feet tall, and come with 15 games built in, displayed on a 15.6-inch screen. Honestly, if you’re an adult, you’re gonna want to grab a barstool or their $59 riser to make it comfortable to play. Even with the riser, they’re still around $393, which is a good $100-$200 cheaper than the Deluxe models. Not bad for a retro gaming setup!
- Mortal Kombat II (13 Games) — $334
- Ms. Pac-Man (13 Games) — $334
- Pac-Man (13 Games) — $334
- Arcade1UP Riser — $59
Arcade1Up Deluxe Arcade Cabinets (October 2025)

Arcade1Up’s Deluxe cabinets are over five feet tall (around 61 inches), so you don’t need to buy a separate stand for them. They also come with upgraded features like larger 17-inch screens, illuminated tops, and realistic-looking coin slots. These cabinets generally cost between $500 and $600. Right now, as of October 27th, you can find a few models for $500, including Golden Tee 3D, NBA Jam, and Class of ’81. The $600 cabinets include those with special accessories like light guns (Big Buck Hunter Pro and Terminator 2) or a racing wheel (The Fast & the Furious).
