Twitch streamer transforms toilet into working speaker system

A popular Twitch streamer named ‘Uwo’s Lab’ created a working speaker out of an old toilet in a funny science experiment that’s quickly spreading online.

Uwo’s Lab is a popular Twitch streamer—he calls himself the “funny science man”—with over 89,000 followers. People watch his channel to see him build amazing and often unusual robots, electronic devices, and conduct experiments.

His newest project started with an idea he found on the DIYaudio subreddit, a community where audio enthusiasts share their homemade speaker designs, amplifiers, and other music equipment.

The image that’s causing discussion is a digitally altered picture of a speaker prototype – called “Big John Mk I” – which appears to show an amplifier connected to a toilet.

The funny post immediately became popular on the subreddit. Soon after, Uwo saw it and decided he had to turn it into a real meme.

Twitch streamer turns old toilet into a functional speaker

On March 19, 2026, Uwo revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he was starting to build the ‘Sh*twoofer’ – a project involving a repurposed toilet, a speaker, and an amplifier, which he’d already begun collecting.

Later that day, people tuned in to Twitch to watch a scientist create his biggest invention yet. To everyone’s surprise, he succeeded, even adding different liquids to a bowl while playing silly, remixed versions of well-known songs.

The sound quality wasn’t great, but it was impressive that Uwo managed to accomplish it anyway.

Chatters were equal parts disgusted and impressed, with one writing, “Yeah, but it’s cursed.”

“Jesus Christ, that’s horrifying,” another commented.

“This might need an equalizer, the sound is a little muddy,” another joked.

A recent online experiment sparked curiosity after YouTuber WhistlinDiesel and ‘Jackass’ star Steve-O tried driving an ATV with triangle-shaped wheels to see what the results would be.
