Twitch streamer RDCGaming told a fan who donated $5000 to request a game to simply get a refund, as he was already going to play it anyway.
There are many ways to help your favorite Twitch streamer, like subscribing, sending Bits, or donating directly. However, direct donations have sometimes caused problems, as some viewers have falsely disputed their donations, attempting to take money away from the streamer.
It’s important to remember that most donations aren’t made with bad intentions. People enjoy connecting with streamers they like and often donate to request specific games or videos.
In December, Twitch streamer RDCGaming – who also has a large following of over a million on YouTube – received a $5,000 donation. A fan made the generous gift hoping RDCGaming would play a particular game, but the streamer declined the request.

RDCGaming urges viewer to refund massive Twitch donation
The streamer rejected a $5000 donation, saying it was an unreasonable amount, even for the holidays. They explained they didn’t want the donation to influence their game choice and that they would play whatever they wanted regardless. They repeatedly asked for the donation to be disputed.
Thanks so much for your support, I really appreciate it. But please, if you can, dispute the donation and try to get a refund. I’m planning on playing For Honor, and I definitely will.
I don’t want to see this as a business transaction. We get support just from people watching, and we’re grateful for that. Please don’t feel like you need to spend your money here. Instead, consider donating to those in your local community who could really use help during the holidays – it’s clear you’re able to afford it.

Large donations have sometimes created problems for streamers. For example, when Twitch allowed viewers to donate the equivalent of 1000 gifted subscriptions—costing $5000—many streamers expressed their concerns about it.
I heard Asmongold say he’s going to ban anyone who uses a certain feature unless they can prove they can actually pay for it. He’s serious about wanting proof, apparently!
