As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the gaming community is as dynamic and unpredictable as any other social circle out there. The recent banter between MisterArther and Alinity, two Twitch streamers known for their entertaining antics, has left me both amused and somewhat baffled.
Streamer MisterArther was taken aback when broadcaster Alinity playfully implied that he might have been involved in her past cat-tossing controversy, an incident that occurred several years ago.
2019 saw the buzz surrounding well-known Twitch broadcaster Alinity heighten, following an incident where she playfully threw her cat Milo over her head, after he climbed onto her workstation during a live stream of Apex Legends.
The event triggered a wave of criticism online, resulting in an investigation by the SPCA regarding Alinity’s behavior. Upon examination, they concluded that there was no evidence of harmful intentions behind her actions and stated that her pets appeared to be thriving and healthy.
Ever since the infamous cat-tossing episode, it’s turned into quite a joke among the Twitch community. Alinity has demonstrated her ability to laugh at herself over time, often making light of the situation when chatting with fellow broadcasters.

Alinity reveals the “real” reason she tossed her cat in 2019
Actually, she discussed this incident during a live broadcast in December 2024, where she humorously explained that the initial reason for throwing Milo was due to MisterArther, her former Apex partner who played the game with her.
Yet, she claims he needed to cease his internet activities, concentrating instead on his studies, which left her stranded without a dependable partner in their online activities – a situation that caused her annoyance.
She clarified, “During the period when Arthur was back at school, he couldn’t join in our playtime activities anymore. This made me quite frustrated because I was left only with Nini and Pip to interact with. Frustrated to the point, I even ended up tossing my cat.
Had Arthur been present, I believe I could have handled the situation more effectively. He had a knack for keeping me composed and preventing me from getting worked up. In essence, I might argue that it was due to Arthur’s absence that I ended up upsetting my cat.
Arthur seemed completely bewildered by the disclosure, then burst out laughing, confessing that he hadn’t been able to play with her as frequently as she desired due to his hectic work commitments.
She apparently blamed me for her throwing the cat, can you believe that? Goodness gracious, she might be correct.” He chuckled.
Fun fact, it was precisely during that period when I was regularly playing Apex with her nearly every day, that I also held a part-time job and attended university.
There are certain days and hours when I can’t play Apex because I’m either working or attending university. My schedule doesn’t allow for me to play whenever Alinity wants, so I simply have been too occupied. In essence, I’ve been quite busy, which is essentially true.
After MisterArther’s triumphant victory at the 2024 Streamer Awards, earning the Rising Star award, this lively exchange of friendly jests ensued.
