Twitch mod jailed for stalking streamer arrested for stalking her again after release

A man who used to moderate content on Twitch was arrested after allegedly continuing to stalk a World of Warcraft streamer for years.

Evan Baltierra was arrested in California on February 27th and faces stalking charges related to online streamer Nalipls, following years of harassing behavior.

Baltierra had worked as a moderator for Nalipls’ Twitch channel and they’d met at BlizzCon in 2019. However, things took a turn when he started sending her a lot of money and asked her to be his valentine. She turned down his romantic gestures and eventually removed him from his moderator role on her channel.

Officials report that the harassment started in 2020 and involved threats, revealing personal information online, and sharing altered images. Court documents show that Baltierra is accused of making hundreds of fake accounts on various platforms to contact the streamer and flood her live broadcasts with hateful messages.

Investigators also claim he paid someone to create fake images of Nalipls, which were then spread online and sent to her friends and family.

Baltierra was initially arrested in 2022. He admitted guilt and received a two-year prison sentence for breaking the rules of his release while awaiting trial, according to reports.

Despite that conviction, the harassment allegedly resumed after his release.

According to an FBI agent’s sworn statement from February 26th, Nalipls reached out to authorities in December 2025. She reported being contacted by strangers who had information from Reddit posts made under her name, posts that advertised “dirty talk” and video games.

Investigators eventually used subpoenas to track the online posts to an internet address linked to the home of Baltierra’s father, where Baltierra was staying at the time.

During a search of the home, probation officers found a handwritten note with the streamer’s private details, such as her phone number and address.

Detectives think Baltierra used the information to pretend to be Nalipls online and post things meant to upset or humiliate her.

The legal document states that the continued harassment has made the streamer very anxious and afraid for herself and her family. As a result, she has mostly stopped being active online, which was how she earned most of her money.

According to Aftermath, Baltierra is currently in jail while waiting for his trial to begin. A first hearing is set for March 13th, and another court appearance will take place on March 16th after formal charges are filed.

Streamers have been increasingly targeted by stalkers, and this is the newest example. Earlier in 2024, a VTuber named Camila experienced a frightening incident when someone attempted to break into her home while she was live streaming.

Some creators, including QTCinderella, have voiced worries about attending events like TwitchCon 2025 due to safety concerns. This follows an incident at a previous event where Emiru was approached and forcibly kissed by a fan while meeting with attendees.

Last year, a tragic event occurred when a Korean streamer was murdered. Police arrested one of her viewers – a person who had given her substantial financial support, totaling tens of thousands of dollars – as the prime suspect.
