Twitch is testing a unique subscription option: users can now spend a significant amount of money to automatically gift subscriptions to every new person who tunes into a stream.
Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, has been experimenting with different ways for viewers to gift subscriptions. They recently tested a feature allowing users to donate a large number of subscriptions – up to 1,000 at once – to streamers.
The streaming service is introducing a new, experimental feature called “Gift ’em All” to enhance the user experience.
It does exactly what it says: with one click, you can give a subscription to all of your viewers who are currently watching your stream.
We’re trying out a new experiment called ‘Gift ’em All’ where we give free Subscriptions to random viewers! It works by gifting a Sub to anyone who’s following our channel but hasn’t subscribed yet. It’s a fun way to show some love to people watching right now! You can find more details here: [link]

Twitch is letting you gift subs to everyone watching
Free subscriptions will be offered to viewers who are watching a stream but haven’t already subscribed to the channel. Right now, this feature is only available on computers—not on mobile devices.
Twitch says this feature won’t always be available. They’re testing it out with a limited number of channels and users, so it’s only available occasionally as they experiment with it.
The streaming platform explains that while they aim to give subscriptions to all qualified users, some may not receive them due to technical difficulties. Specifically, delays in processing new followers and users joining or leaving the channel can cause issues.

There doesn’t appear to be a cap on how many subscriptions can be gifted. This means that if a stream becomes extremely popular and gains a huge audience, viewers with the means could potentially donate a very large number of subscriptions.
A screenshot from Twitch shows that a user could gift subs to 200 active followers for $998.
Twitch recently introduced the ‘Gift ’em All’ feature following criticism of its gifted subscriptions. A former Twitch manager publicly stated the original feature was implemented solely to maximize revenue.
Mike Minton, who leads product development at Twitch, clarified that the platform didn’t introduce gifted subscriptions to boost income. Instead, he explained they implemented the feature to simplify the process for a select group of users who frequently gift large numbers of subscriptions.
This feature is still being tested, so it might not be available to you yet – don’t worry if you don’t see it right away. We’re evaluating how well it works and whether to make it available on all channels.
