DLive became well-known in 2019 after popular streamer PewDiePie agreed to livestream exclusively on their platform.

PewDiePie was an early supporter of DLive, positioning it as a better option for creators than platforms like Twitch and YouTube because it took a smaller percentage of earnings and prioritized supporting creators directly.
