Twitch has stated that Rollbit, a sponsor of the StarLadder Budapest Major, doesn’t break any of their rules, following concerns from some Counter-Strike 2 players.
So, the big StarLadder CS2 Major has Rollbit, a gambling site, as its main sponsor. Honestly, that immediately got everyone in the CS2 community wondering how Twitch is going to deal with that – you know, with their rules about gambling streams and stuff. It’s a bit of a tricky situation, and we’re all curious to see how it plays out.
Rollbit is a gambling website that’s not allowed on the platform, so when it sponsored a recent tournament, people worried the official streams or related broadcasts might be blocked.
🎉 Great news for CS2 fans! Rollbit is officially sponsoring the StarLadder CS2 Major Budapest 2025! Rollbit is known for enhancing big events like this one. They offer live game stats, top-notch betting options, and are a leading crypto platform supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and many other cryptocurrencies for easy deposits and withdrawals – they’ve got everything you…

Twitch updated its rules in 2022 to ban streams of gambling content from sites like Rollbit, Stake, Duelbits, and Roobet. This means streamers can’t broadcast gameplay from these sites, or promote them using links, special codes, or ads during their streams. Rollbit is specifically included on Twitch’s list of prohibited sponsored content.
As a big fan, I was really worried when this happened! A lot of streamers who were planning to co-stream the event were especially concerned – they were afraid they might get hit with a strike on their channels if they tried to broadcast it, which would be awful.
The Counter-Strike StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 will not be exclusive to Kick. Rollbit is the main sponsor, but they are banned from both Twitch and YouTube. This means if you stream the event on Twitch or YouTube, you could violate platform rules and face a ban. If you want to stream on Twitch, there will be a 3-minute delay from the official GOTV broadcast.

“Verbally referring” to sponsor not allowed at StarLadder Major
I just heard from Twitch, and they told TopMob that Rollbit sponsoring them is actually okay! Apparently, because the Rollbit branding will only be visible as physical stuff on the stream – like logos on props or backgrounds – it doesn’t break any of Twitch’s rules. So that’s a relief!
Twitch clarified that its gambling rules focus on direct promotion or links to gambling sites. They don’t cover things like logos on clothing or event backdrops shown during broadcasts.
However, “verbally referring to the website on stream” is prohibited.
Twitch told TopMob that even though the StarLadder CS Major is being streamed on their platform, the sponsorship from Rollbit doesn’t break their rules. Rollbit and the event organizers have agreed to only show Rollbit’s logo and branding physically during the stream—no other promotion will be allowed.
Our Community Guidelines don’t allow sharing links or affiliate codes to websites with casino-style games like slots, roulette, or dice. Specifically regarding Rollbit, we only prohibit promoting it on stream – things like showing content directly from the site, sharing links in chat, using banners that link to it, or mentioning the website during your broadcast. Simply displaying the Rollbit logo or branding on physical items isn’t a violation of these rules.
This means the official broadcast will happen as scheduled, and approved partners can still stream it too, as long as they stick to Twitch’s rules about gambling content.
Twitch prioritizes the safety of its community, so we thoroughly examine all gambling sponsorships to make sure they follow our rules.
The Major begins on November 24, and will be streamed on Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
