Hold on tight, spider monkey: “Twilight” is touring the country.
Live Events America (GEA) in partnership with Lionsgate, is launching a 60-city nationwide tour of the first “Twilight” movie accompanied by live music across the United States. The journey commences with a sneak peek performance in Spokane, Washington on September 12, followed by an official debut in Seattle on September 13, which is also celebrated as “National Twilight Fans Day”.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the “Twilight” novel, an immersive live-to-film event is planned where the original movie will be played alongside a 12-piece rock and orchestral band performing on stage, allowing audiences to truly feel the romantic tale’s essence.
Tickets for the “Twilight” Concert will be available from Friday. At this concert, audiences can re-experience the movie that started it all with a unique blend of cinema and live music. The musicians will perform the film’s score simultaneously with the original movie, which will be played in its entirety on large screens. Over 1,000 candles will light up the stage to create a magical atmosphere.
The “Twilight” series is among the most financially successful film franchises based on young adult literature, having earned over $3.3 billion globally across its five movies (“Twilight”, “The Twilight Series: New Moon”, “The Twilight Series: Eclipse”, and “The Twilight Series: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 & 2”).
The “Twilight” movies were based on the widely acclaimed book series by author Stephenie Meyer, which won numerous awards, sold more than 160 million copies worldwide, and was translated into 49 languages. Lionsgate’s television adaptation of Meyer’s novel “Midnight Sun” has been commissioned as a series for Netflix.
