As a seasoned gamer with decades of dinosaur-slaying under my belt, hearing about the revival of the Turok series at The Game Awards 2024 sent chills down my spine! I remember the thrill of the original games, battling against time to save Dinosaur Island from the ruthless Campaign.
At The Game Awards 2024, there was a revival of sorts for the Turok series. Saber Interactive officially announced the game, following a leak from Epic Games back in June that gave fans a sneak peek.
At the TGA 2024 awards broadcast, a sneak peek of the game that transports us back to a perilous dinosaur-filled world was unveiled. Here’s the footage you can check out below.
In the vein of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Turok: Origins is set to be a first-person shooter experience. This game will also feature a cooperative mode, where players engage in combat not just against human adversaries, but also against diverse species of ancient reptiles.
The final part of the series was named by Propaganda Games studio. Regrettably, despite reportedly strong sales, the team never produced a follow-up, and less than three years following the game’s launch, the company ceased operations. Here’s to hoping that Saber Interactive fares better.
Turok: Origins is coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
