To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in the fall of 2026, Donald Trump is planning a competition called the Patriot Games. He’s inviting top male and female high school athletes – one boy and one girl – from every state and territory to participate in a four-day athletic event. Many people are joking that the idea was inspired by the new Hunger Games movie.
Adding to a controversial plan, Trump stated that men will not be allowed to compete in women’s sports, saying it “won’t happen.” He shared this while promoting Freedom 250, a “bipartisan initiative” organizing the event, known as the Patriot Games. The official website currently lacks specific details about the Games, but it’s expected to be updated after Trump finishes watching the movies Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
When announcing Freedom 250, Trump also revealed plans for a UFC event at the White House on June 16th. He stated it would feature top fighters from around the world, hosted by Dana White, and promised a spectacular event. Indeed, it’s shaping up to be quite a show.
