TraxNYC blasts “greedy” Akay Diamonds over viral confrontation

Jeweler Maksud Agadjani, who operates as TraxNYC, has publicly criticized his competitors, Akay Diamonds, after a widely-shared dispute between them occurred in early January. He accuses them of being motivated by greed.

On January 1st, TraxNYC, a jewelry store in New York City’s Diamond District, accused George and Freddy Akay of Akay Diamonds of falsely claiming a $22,000 diamond bracelet they sold to a customer was originally from TraxNYC.

Okay, so things got really heated between Agadjani and Akay. Apparently, Agadjani had to refund a customer and then demanded Akay pay him back, and he was yelling so much other vendors actually had to hold him back! It escalated quickly, and they ended up physically fighting – I heard TraxNYC was even choked by the other jeweler. It was a crazy scene.

Following the incident, the Akay brothers were arrested by the New York Police Department and charged with assault. Agadjani received medical treatment for his injuries.

TraxNYC blasts rival jewellers over attack

The issue quickly gained attention on social media when TraxNYC claimed on Instagram – to his over 3 million followers – that someone had attempted to kill him.

I read that he actually warned the brothers multiple times about using his name to try and sell their stuff. Apparently, he really didn’t want them associating his name with their products, and he kept telling them to stop!

He stated that the brothers were envious of his success as a jeweler and repeatedly attempted to take his clients by falsely claiming to be him. He also alleged they physically assaulted him, throwing a scale at him.

I revealed their deceptive practices, and they threatened my life as a result. The situation could have been easily resolved by simply refunding the money I’d already returned to the customer. Instead, they’re willing to ruin their jewelry business and careers because of their extreme greed.

These scammers tried to kill me after being exposed!

According to the New York Post, Agadjani received treatment for his injuries at Bellevue Hospital and intends to file a lawsuit against the Akay brothers.

He stated that he would have been killed if security hadn’t intervened and stopped the attack in the Diamond District.
