I’m so excited about the next wave of Deluxe Class figures! It looks like we’re getting some awesome Autobots pulled from all sorts of different versions of Transformers history. They’re even giving the spotlight to a character who’s usually just a recolor of someone else, but based on a really popular Transformer – that’s a cool twist!
With Transformers: Age of the Primes, Cliffjumper gets a new toy based on a classic animated version of the character. Joining him are updated figures for Powerglide, Swerve, and Ratchet, each representing different versions of the Transformers story. Staying true to the spirit of Age of the Primes, Cliffjumper’s new form is inspired by what many fans consider his most memorable – and heartbreaking – portrayal.
Transformers’ Cliffjumper Rolls Out as Part of Hasbro’s Age of the Primes Series

I recently checked out the new Cliffjumper toy from the Transformers: Age of Primes line, and it turns out it’s not as new as I thought! It’s actually a re-release of a figure originally from the Transformers: Legacy: United line. That earlier version was itself a slightly modified and recolored version of the Rescue Bots character, Chase, and was sold as part of a larger set. This particular Cliffjumper design is based on how he looked in the Transformers: Prime animated series.
This Transformer can turn into a generic muscle car, and this updated version hasn’t changed since it first came out two years ago. It has floodlights that can be attached to either its car form or used as arm-mounted weapons in robot mode. It also has an Energon claw that can be mounted on the car’s back. Interestingly, one of the floodlights can connect with the claw to create a blaster, giving this Autobot a variety of ways to fight Decepticons.
I recently saw that Cliffjumper, as a Deluxe Class figure, is priced at $27.99 and is scheduled to come out on May 1, 2026. He’s available for pre-order now, along with a few other cool figures. That group includes Generation 1 versions of Swerve and Powerglide, and a Ratchet figure based on the Transformers: Animated series. Each one comes with a bunch of different weapons and accessories – Powerglide even has his alien mask from the episode, “Hoist Goes Hollywood!”
Interestingly, Cliffjumper from Transformers: Prime—originally voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson—became one of his most well-known versions, even though the character died very early in the series. This version of Cliffjumper stood out because it wasn’t just a modified version of Bumblebee, which made his sudden death even more surprising.
