The Red Road
The crime thriller series The Red Road, starring Jason Momoa, was recently added to Netflix and quickly became popular. It reached the Top 5 on Netflix’s global chart over the last weekend of 2025.
Originally released in 2014, The Red Road centers around Phillip Kopus, a former convict played by Jason Momoa, who is living in an Indigenous community in New York. His life becomes complicated when NYPD officer Harold Jenson (Martin Henderson) begins investigating a missing person case nearby, leading to a conflict between the two.
If you’re looking for a quick, gripping watch, check out The Red Road. This 12-episode series blends the emotional journey of growing up with the excitement of a crime thriller – perfect for a week-long binge! Starring Julianne Nicholson and Tim Sizemore, it’s a hit with viewers, earning an 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning most people who watch it really enjoy it.
Cashero
Don’t miss Cashero, the new K-drama taking Netflix by storm! This 8-part superhero series dropped on December 26th and is already a worldwide hit. It’s a fun, immersive action-adventure with amazing visuals and high-quality production.
Cashero is a new series about Kang Sang Woong, a superhero who’s just discovered his powers and dedicates himself to helping everyday people. The show stars Lee Jun-ho, a popular actor known for K-dramas like Typhoon Family and King the Land, and it’s quickly becoming a hit before even premiering on New Year’s Day.
Stranger Things
After a month of releases, the final season of Stranger Things concludes this week with the last two episodes becoming available on New Year’s Eve at 8 PM Eastern Time. While fans generally enjoyed the fifth and final season of the popular Netflix show, the most recent episode, which premiered on Christmas, received the lowest audience rating of the entire series on IMDb.
As expected, Stranger Things remains Netflix’s most popular show globally. However, the recent next-to-last episode left many viewers disappointed, which has unexpectedly raised the stakes for the series finale. Now, the show faces extra pressure to deliver a satisfying conclusion and avoid the kind of negative reaction that plagued the final season of Game of Thrones. The finale airs this week on Netflix.
With the final episode, “The Rightside Up,” arriving soon, now is the perfect time to catch up on all of Stranger Things season 5.
Mr. Robot
Fans of the hit show Mr. Robot have a limited time to watch it on Netflix. The acclaimed four-season thriller will no longer be available to stream after January 4, 2026.
Before becoming famous for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek starred in Mr. Robot. The show features Malek as a brilliant but troubled cybersecurity expert who secretly works as a hacker fighting for justice, alongside his unpredictable and radical partner, Mr. Robot, portrayed by Christian Slater.
As a critic, I have to say Mr. Robot is genuinely captivating. It’s one of those shows that grabs you right away and doesn’t let go, thanks to its smart, fast-moving story. With 3 Emmys and a whopping 94% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s clear I’m not alone in thinking this is a modern TV masterpiece. If you haven’t seen all four seasons, you need to—but hurry, it’s leaving Netflix on January 4, 2026!
Lost
Fans of great TV shouldn’t miss Lost, which is leaving Netflix soon. Often considered a top-tier show, Lost was co-created by J.J. Abrams and Damien Lindelof and captivated audiences for six seasons, airing from 2004 to 2010.
Lost is a captivating show about the survivors of a plane crash who must band together to survive on a mysterious island. It won 10 Emmy Awards, including the prestigious Outstanding Drama Series award in 2005, and is highly rated by audiences (89% on Rotten Tomatoes). If you enjoy thrilling, mysterious stories with plenty of twists and characters you won’t forget, Lost is an excellent choice.
The TV show Lost will be removed from Netflix on January 1, 2026. If you want to watch or re-watch it, now’s the time! Although you won’t be able to watch the whole series before then, it will still be available on Hulu in 2026.
