The Lowdown
Hulu’s new show, The Lowdown, has quickly become a hit with both viewers and critics this fall. Featuring a stellar cast including Ethan Hawke, Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, and Peter Dinklage, the series comes from Sterlin Harjo, the creator of the highly praised 2020s comedy, Reservation Dogs.
The new historical drama, The Lowdown, debuted on FX and Hulu in late September and finished its first season in early November. With only eight episodes, the show follows Lee Rayburn, a somewhat clumsy investigative journalist played by Hawke. Critics have praised The Lowdown, giving it a remarkable 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and making it one of Hulu’s best new series.
Obituary
I’m completely hooked on this new show, Obituary, that’s trending on Hulu! It’s getting amazing reviews – a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is incredible. The story centers around Elvira Clancy, a woman who writes obituaries in a small town, but she has a really dark secret – she’s also a serial killer. If you loved Dexter over on Paramount+, I think you’ll really get a kick out of this darkly funny and twisted series.
The second season of Obituary started airing in October, with new episodes released every Tuesday. The final episode of season 2 will be available on Hulu this Tuesday, November 18th, completing both seasons for a total of 12 episodes. If you’re searching for a captivating, darkly funny, and popular show to watch on Hulu, Obituary is an excellent choice.
Tell Me Lies
Since it premiered in 2022, the Hulu series Tell Me Lies has quickly become a popular and discussed show. Adapted from Carola Lovering’s bestselling novel, the series centers on Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco, and their fast-moving, unhealthy relationship that creates problems for everyone around them.
Currently, Tell Me Lies has two seasons with 18 episodes, and a third season is planned for release in January 2026. The show has received positive reviews, earning an 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. While the characters are in their twenties, the dramatic and intense love story appeals to adult viewers of any age, making it a great show to watch all at once on Hulu.
The Americans
Loved The Beast in Me on Netflix and Keri Russell in The Diplomat? Then you’ll definitely enjoy The Americans. This thrilling series features Russell and Matthew Rhys as Russian spies pretending to be a married couple while living undercover in Washington, D.C.
Set during the early 1980s at the peak of the Cold War, The Americans is a critically acclaimed series with a 96% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It won 4 Emmy Awards, including acting awards for Matthew Rhys and Margo Martindale. Many consider it one of the best shows of the 2010s, and its six seasons make it perfect for binge-watching on Hulu.
Murdaugh: Death in the Family
If you’re looking for a show to binge-watch on Hulu this week, don’t miss Murdaugh: Death in the Family. The final episode airs this Wednesday, November 19th. Starring Patricia Arquette and Jason Clarke, this highly-rated series tells the unbelievable true story of the Murdaugh family, based on the popular podcast by Mandy Matney.
The eight-episode series, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, launched in mid-October, and with the finale coming up soon, now is a great time to watch it all. It’s become one of Hulu’s most popular new originals, earning a 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and is expected to be a hot topic after Wednesday’s final episode.
