Landman
Logline: “A modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
The second season of Landman, the popular neo-Western series that premiered on Paramount+ last November, is already more than halfway complete. If you haven’t started watching yet, now is a perfect time to discover why it’s become such a hit.
Currently, ‘Landman’ is the second most popular show on Paramount+ in the U.S., just behind ‘South Park’. It stars a talented group including Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Jon Hamm, Demi Moore, and Sam Elliott, who joins the cast this season. If you’re a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s work, this is a must-watch.
Mayor Of Kingstown
In Kingstown, Michigan, the McLusky family wields considerable influence, navigating issues of racism, corruption, and inequality in a town where the prison system is the main source of jobs and economic activity.
If you enjoy Taylor Sheridan’s shows, you should definitely check out Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+. The newest season has solidified its place as one of the best crime dramas available to stream, and it’s executive produced by Dave Erickson, known for his work on Sons of Anarchy.
If you enjoy intense prison dramas like Oz or Prison Break, you won’t want to miss Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner, Taylor Handley, and Hugh Dillon (who also created the show). New episodes drop every Sunday exclusively on Paramount+, just like Landman.
Dexter: Resurrection
After waking up from a coma, Dexter Morgan heads to New York City with one goal: to find his son, Harrison, and fix his life. However, his plans are complicated when Angel Batista from the Miami Metro police department shows up, forcing Dexter to confront his hidden past.
The new series, Dexter: Resurrection, is a surprisingly strong sequel – many believe it’s even better than the original Dexter. Critics agree, giving Resurrection a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, a significant improvement over the original show’s 71% score from its 2006 debut on Showtime.
The revival of Dexter, titled Dexter: Resurrection, received a very high score of 9.0 on IMDb, placing it among the top 28 TV shows of all time – right alongside popular series like The Office and Better Call Saul. You can easily watch the entire season in a weekend, but it’s best to be familiar with the original Dexter series first. You can find Dexter: Resurrection streaming on Paramount+.
