TommyInnit vs Dream drama explained: Timeline of feud between Minecraft YouTubers

The dispute initially sparked between TommyInnit and Mizkif has escalated significantly, drawing in former members of the Dream SMP group who have taken sides against its namesake. Currently, Dream and Tommy are engaged in a high-profile confrontation.

Following TommyInnit’s harsh words about meeting someone he deemed the “least favorable individual,” Mizkif responded in kind. This exchange between them caught the attention of xQc, leading Tommy to respond to him too.

Initially, a single remark set off a chain reaction. Dream subsequently criticized this, harshly criticizing Tommy for acting as an “internet watchdog” and disparaging his fanbase using a derogatory term. This initial comment’s ripple effect has now escalated into a significant dispute among several former members of the Dream SMP, who are now unearthing old messages and rehashing past controversies.

The situation has grown significantly, with even the parents of previous Dream SMP participants voicing their concerns about the creator. The drama surrounding this has far surpassed just involving TommyInnit, and now Dream finds himself in a heated spotlight.

Drama erupts after Dream calls out TommyInnit fans

The pivotal tweet, since removed, originated from Dream. It presented an image of “supporters of Dream SMP” facing two routes. One led to “maturity” while the other represented “devoted fans of TommyInnit.

Dream removed a tweet, yet didn’t shy away from posting on Reddit, addressing those who urged him to take down the tweet.

The YouTuber asserted, “I have personal issues with Tommy assuming the role of the ‘internet watchdog’, and I was prepared for some criticism for challenging him, given his habit of fabricating stories about me. However, it’s important to clarify that my intentions were never to antagonize every fan of Dream SMP. In fact, I believe Tommy lacks the courage to stand up for what’s right.

In summary, my experience has confirmed that Twitter seems to be less rational than I initially believed. Furthermore, it’s crucial to never use the ‘r-word,’ even in a humorous context, especially if you have autism. I hope this lesson sticks with me, and I can earn forgiveness for any past mistakes.

Tubbo, another former Dream SMP member, stepped in to defend Tommy and shut down Dream’s statement.

If you’re discussing the Dream SMP, some creators didn’t show much courage, but Tommy definitely wasn’t among those who lacked backbone.

(Informally)
On the Dream SMP, there were some spineless creators for sure, but Tommy was never one of them. Go get ’em again, Tubbo! 🔥

It suggests that you didn’t truly know him as a person if you think he lacks courage. And even if you did know him, it is an ill-advised effort to alter his reputation. In reality, he admired Dream and Wilbur deeply, but after discovering their true characters, he chose to distance himself due to his strong sense of integrity and personal convictions.

A particular meme and comments from Dream during his live stream sparked anger in Tommy. In response to this, he addressed Dream directly via a Twitter post, followed by a lengthy video titled “A Response to Dream.

TommyInnit responds and calls out Dream

He expressed: “Let’s discuss the issue of you using a derogatory term for my fans, which is offensive and inappropriate. It’s not right for you to use such language, friend. It’s simply not acceptable. My mother has worked with individuals with disabilities, and since I was 12, I have volunteered alongside her. These are genuine, remarkable people who I consider like family, and unfortunately, they are the ones that this term is used against.

It’s not appropriate to handle it carelessly. It shows an irresponsible, rash behavior that sets a very poor example for others.

Additionally, he criticized Dream for making disrespectful comments about his friends while streaming. He accused Dream and those creators who continue to interact with him of being sexually discriminatory, stating that their behavior towards and treatment of women is not acceptable to him.

As a newcomer to Dream’s server and creator collective, I felt that he seemed to leverage his influence in ways that might have taken advantage of us younger creators. It was a bit unsettling, but hopefully, things have changed for the better since then.

Approximately four years ago, you were unkind to me. When I was 16, you offered YouTube guidance which you used against me for years. You didn’t respect me as an equal and made me feel insignificant. The success of the DreamSMP, a significant part of your achievements, wouldn’t have materialized without my contributions,” Tommy asserted.

“You knew what you were doing because I’ve watched you do it to other people, too.”

The Minecraft video content creator expressed regret, stating that if he were in Dream’s position, he would feel a sense of shame due to allegedly exploiting Dream and fellow creators who looked up to Dream during their SMP journey.

In addition to Tommy accusing Dream of harassing his mother during a divorce, this situation culminated in him labeling Dream as a “villain.” Furthermore, Tommy’s mother has added fuel to the fire by referring to Dream as an “ableist jerk.

I wasn’t interested in participating. Using a derogatory term about mental abilities is not acceptable.

Then I noticed the part where they mentioned being autistic, which was extremely upsetting. Being autistic and being disrespectful towards people with mental differences are two entirely separate things.

Sending lots of affection to all my neurodivergent friends. ❤️

Dream’s previous post (now removed), contained his statement that he’s currently developing a fresh video to share his perspective on the matter.

I can’t quite figure out why TommyInnit attacked and lied about me in front of his audience, but this situation seems to provide a chance for me to address the issue openly. I guess we’re having a heated Minecraft disagreement. I plan to release a video response to his content soon, as it’s an important matter. It’s not exactly enjoyable.

he already deleted this brother where is that supposed backbone of yours 😭😭😭

As I’m typing this, Dream hasn’t put out a response video regarding the matter yet. This situation arises following the appearance of grooming allegations against Dream in 2023. However, the creator strongly refutes these claims.
