Aspyr is bringing Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition to both the Switch and the new Switch 2. The official Tomb Raider website confirms the game includes all content from the original 2014 release, even online multiplayer with up to eight players. It takes up 27.3GB of storage on Switch 2 and 27.1GB on the original Switch.
Both editions of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition are priced at $20, and the Switch version doesn’t cost extra. From now until November 24th, you can get 10% off as a launch discount. If you already own the Tomb Raider remasters on Switch, you can save even more! Owners of Tomb Raider VI-VI Remastered will get an extra 10% off (for a total of 20%), and owning Tomb Raider I-III Remastered will add another 10% discount on top of that.
Crystal Dynamics is creating the next Tomb Raider game, which Amazon will publish. The studio has faced layoffs recently, and Microsoft canceled their reboot of Perfect Dark, another game they were working on. It’s currently unknown if the remaining games in the Survivor trilogy will be released on Nintendo Switch or the upcoming Switch 2. You can find a review of TopMob’s Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition if you’d like to learn more.
