Tom Hiddleston, back as a popular character, says the new movie Avengers: Doomsday will be an incredibly impressive event for audiences.
In an interview with GQ, Tom Hiddleston discussed how his character Loki evolved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He explained that Loki went from being a clear villain to a more thoughtful hero by the end of Loki Season 2. Hiddleston said that for Loki to truly change and have a different fate, he needed to come to terms with his past actions. This acceptance, Hiddleston noted, allowed Loki to take control of his own story.
Hiddleston described the next Avengers film, Doomsday, as incredibly impressive. He said the core story was both brilliant and genuinely surprising, unlike anything he’d seen before.
Tom Hiddleston first appeared as Loki in the 2011 film Thor, introducing a memorable villain to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s since played Loki in several movies, including The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor: Ragnarok, and also starred in the Loki series, which aired for two seasons between 2021 and 2023.
Okay, so I’m super hyped for Avengers: Doomsday! It sounds like they’re bringing in everyone for this one – it’s going to be the biggest Marvel crossover movie yet. We’re definitely getting all the usual suspects like Letitia Wright, Chris Hemsworth, and Anthony Mackie, but get this – they’re also including classic X-Men actors like Kelsey Grammer, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart! Plus, the cast from the new Fantastic Four: First Steps movie will be in it too. Seriously, it’s a dream team!
The cast of Thunderbolts will also appear in Avengers: Doomsday, a fact that surprised one of the film’s main actors. They expressed their excitement, saying, “I couldn’t believe I was allowed to be in that movie.” They described the experience as “so fun” and shared how much they appreciate playing the character, adding, “He means so much to me… There’s so much about his values that I personally connect with.”
