Tom Cruise Visited The Set Of NCIS: Origins, And I Have Questions

Like a lot of movie and TV fans, I sometimes forget that not everyone working in Hollywood knows each other. It’s a pretty tight-knit world, especially at the top, but it’s still unlikely *everyone* knows *everyone* else. That said, Tom Cruise recently visited the set of *NCIS: Origins*, and it got me thinking… what was that meeting like?

What Happened When Tom Cruise Visited The Set Of NCIS: Origins?

Everyone’s talking about what happened on the latest episode of *NCIS: Origins*! Season 2 kicked off during CBS’ premiere week, and we finally learned what happened to Lala. But that wasn’t the only exciting news – Tom Cruise, star of *Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning*, recently paid a visit to the *Origins* set! Check it out:

This is fantastic news for everyone involved, but honestly, I’m completely shocked! I never would have predicted this, and now I have so many questions running through my head.

Daniel Bellomy, who plays Special Agent Granville Dawson on the drama and is standing behind Cruise in the pic, posted the photo to his own Instagram and noted that the star “pulled up to set” and had “great times” with everyone, which makes it sound like a lovely, casual hang. I’m still wondering, though…why?

Most moviegoers are aware that Tom Cruise has a strong, ongoing relationship with Paramount Pictures thanks to the *Mission: Impossible* films, so it’s not surprising he might be at the studio. However, that doesn’t explain why he’d suddenly appear on the set of *NCIS: Origins*. Is he simply known for making surprise visits to various TV sets?

Alternatively, could Tom Cruise genuinely be a fan of the show or the entire *NCIS* franchise? That wouldn’t be surprising, considering it’s one of our longest-running television series and remains incredibly popular. This new prequel about Gibbs is actually the fifth of six spin-off shows created since the original series began in 2003.

David J. North, a writer for the show, revealed more details about Tom Cruise’s visit, including photos and a clip. The clip appears to show Cruise on a video call while one of the show’s stars, seemingly Emilio Estevez, performs a scene from a previous movie.

So many questions keep coming up! Was he just visiting the studio and decided to say hello to whoever was filming that day? Or did he have a specific person in mind to visit – someone who works on the show – and then casually interact with the rest of the cast and crew?

It’s great to hear everyone had fun, but I’m curious about what they actually discussed. I realize the cast and crew are used to meeting celebrities, but can you imagine how surprising it must have been to have someone as famous as him show up unexpectedly on set? It’s a bit surreal – what do you even say? Do you just start with small talk about the weather?

It’s possible Tom Cruise video called some of his famous friends, and the movie cast pretended to be them. No matter what exactly happened during his visit, the people working on *Origins* likely won’t forget it anytime soon.
