James Bond isn’t exactly known for being jolly, even if he does enjoy a drink. Still, there’s something surprisingly fitting about watching his movies during the holidays. Maybe it’s because they’ve long been a December TV tradition, or because the films feel classic and enduring. It could also be that Bond movies appeal to multiple generations, bringing families together.
For now, fans will have to revisit James Bond’s past adventures. While Amazon is continuing the Bond series without the original producers and recently named Denis Villeneuve as director, the release date for the 26th Bond film is still unknown. However, December will bring some good news for Bond fans who are looking for a deal, along with their favorite action!
Starting December 1st, you can watch all 25 James Bond films for free on Pluto TV, but only for a limited time! From the very first Bond, Sean Connery in 1962’s Dr. No, to Daniel Craig’s final performance in 2021’s No Time to Die, it’s the perfect opportunity to have a James Bond movie marathon. You can find the collection on the Pluto TV 007 and Pluto TV 007 en Español channels, as well as on-demand.
Pluto TV already had a lot of James Bond films, and now they’ve added the final pieces: Sean Connery’s first three movies – Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Goldfinger – plus Spectre, one of Daniel Craig’s last films as Bond. That means you can now watch all the official James Bond movies back-to-back! It would take about 2 days and 8 hours to watch the entire series.
One of the strengths of the James Bond series is that, even though each film is largely self-contained, you don’t really need to skip any of the 25 movies. While films like Die Another Day and A View to a Kill aren’t as highly regarded as classics like Goldfinger and Casino Royale, even the weaker Bond films have something to offer. You might even find yourself appreciating a movie you once disliked as part of the series’ quirky appeal.
The Bondathon event really showcases what makes 60 years of James Bond films so successful: every actor who’s played 007 has brought something unique to the role, and even the ones who weren’t always popular – like George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton – or who stayed in the role too long, such as Sean Connery and Roger Moore, all delivered at least one truly great Bond movie.
James Bond is one of the most iconic and enduring movie franchises ever created, and people are still thrilled to see new 007 adventures, proving just how popular and timeless the character remains.
