TMNT Trilogy 4K Limited Edition Is Now Available – Save $42 On Launch Day

Fans can now own the first three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies in stunning 4K resolution. The “TMNT Trilogy Limited Edition” includes 4K Blu-ray versions of the original ’90s films for $58 (originally $100). This set isn’t just about the movies – it also comes with new bonus content, classic archival footage, posters, a commentary booklet, trading cards, and other collectibles. Be aware that this is a limited edition, meaning future copies won’t include all the extras once it sells out.

Looking for a gift for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan? As of December 16th, Amazon says the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy will arrive in time for the holidays. Interestingly, the Blu-ray version is currently more expensive than the 4K Blu-ray. You can also find the TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 4K Steelbook Edition back in stock for $25.89, and the new TMNT: The Last Ronin Graphic Novel Box Set is on sale for $60.90 (originally $95).

Even after 35 years, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie stands out. It’s remarkable for its impressive practical effects and martial arts, and it surprisingly took a darker approach to the comic book source material. Some even thought it was too dark, which led to the sequels being much more lighthearted. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze relied more on slapstick comedy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Turtles in Time took a risky turn with a time-travel plot that sent the heroes back to feudal Japan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a global hit thanks to the original cartoon series and its incredibly popular action figures. The show ran for 10 seasons and a total of 193 episodes, concluding in 1996. The entire series was released on DVD last October, and it’s a great value at $34. Currently, you can get the 23-disc TMNT: Complete Classic Series Collection for just $26.59.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles didn’t just stop with their first series – they came back with another successful run from 2003 to 2009, known by a few different titles over its seven seasons and 155 episodes. While the original series was mostly lighthearted and funny, this follow-up took a more serious and realistic tone, similar to the original comic books. You can find every episode, plus the TV movie Turtles Forever, in TMNT: The Ultimate Collection. In Turtles Forever, the Turtles team up with their counterparts from the 1987 movie to save the entire multiverse.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have always been great on television, and the 2012 Nickelodeon series continued that success. It ran for five seasons, totaling 124 episodes, and concluded in 2017. Last year, a new series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, premiered on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Season 1’s 12 episodes are available on Blu-ray and DVD, and Season 2’s 12 episodes launched on Paramount+ on December 12th.

The movie series has had a mixed run on the big screen since 2000. While the live-action movies from 2014 and 2016 didn’t perform well, the return to animation with 2023’s Mutant Mayhem was a success.
