This year celebrates the 35th anniversary of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie! To mark the occasion, a special edition of the comic book based on the film has been reprinted and is available for $18.63 (originally $20). Originally created in 1990 by the TMNT team and artist Jim Lawson, this 136-page book has been updated for 2025. It includes the movie adaptation, completely new colors, early sketches by Eastman, and notes about how it was originally planned for Archie Comics. This edition also features scenes that were added when the comic was later reprinted by Mirage Comics.

The comic book version of the film includes scenes that didn’t make the final cut, such as Shredder disciplining his Foot Clan, a longer training montage on the farm, and an alternate ending.

I’m so excited! That classic movie, along with its two sequels, is finally coming to 4K Blu-ray later this month! Arrow Video has really gone all out with this release – it’s packed with extra features. They’ve restored the original 1990 film from the actual 35mm film negative, and the sequels were restored from the original 35mm interpositives. Plus, all three movies will support Dolby Vision and HDR10 for amazing picture quality. I was going to preorder when it was listed for $100, but you can actually get it for $58 right now before it comes out on December 16th! And to top it all off, this Limited Edition comes with some cool collectibles and really nice packaging. I can’t wait to add this to my collection!
