Tiny Glade Developer Update Players On Steam Deck Support Progress

Ever since its global launch in September 2024, I’ve been hooked on Tiny Glade – a game that’s won me over with its positive buzz. What sets it apart is its sandbox style gameplay, devoid of any narratives or stories to follow. Instead, it offers a unique, risk-free environment where creativity reigns supreme.

This “diorama builder” lets me unleash my inner architect and design breathtaking homes with an impressive variety of structures and decor items, each brimming with exquisite detail. It’s no wonder this game has been making waves on social media!

The newly launched game offers a wealth of exclusive gameplay elements, attributes, and enhancements, with ongoing post-release updates. Yet, it lacks complete native support for Steam Deck. Despite the developer making it clear that the game isn’t fully compatible with the Steam Deck, they’ve recently shared insights on this topic in a new developer update.

On the news section of the game’s Steam page, they’ve shared an update about progress in making Tiny Glade compatible with the Steam Deck. Currently, the charming sandbox diorama builder can run on the handheld gaming system using Proton GE, but a full native support is still under development, which the developers are actively working towards.

Hey there! I’ve got this game running, but truth be told, the controls aren’t quite dialed in just yet. So, let me just say that my Steam Deck play is more like a sneaky peek behind the curtain for now – wink-wink! 😉

The official communication indicates they are diligently working on releasing updates aimed at enhancing compatibility with controllers and Steam Deck for Tiny Glade. Specifically, these updates will involve quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, which we plan to roll out in several smaller patches over the next few weeks as they become ready.

One enhancement to enhance players’ gaming experience with Tiny Glade on Steam deck is a new mode for adjusting the camera angle and zoom. This innovative camera setting will substantially boost gameplay across all platforms, particularly on PC, where players have experienced unexpected camera behavior during rotation, often resulting in an unintentional “whirlwind” effect while constructing their best views.

As an eager enthusiast, I can’t predict exactly when these patches will drop, but rest assured, the team is working diligently on them up until around early February (give or take). After that, their attention shifts towards enhancing gameplay. In the meantime, we’ll all have to be patient as we wait for native Steam Deck support in Tiny Glade. I’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding its release as soon as they become available.
