Tiny Chef reveals “best chapter is coming” in first TV interview since Nickelodeon cancellation

The small-scale culinary master, Tiny Chef, has finally spoken up, assuring his followers that a new and exciting phase is on the horizon, following the unexpected termination of his Nickelodeon series earlier in the year.

Back in June, the puppet chef became extremely popular on social media, not long after Nickelodeon cancelled his show which had already aired for three seasons and received an Emmy award. Then, only a month later in July, it was announced that Tiny Chef had been rescued from cancellation due to strong fan demand.

After that point, Chef has become more active on social media, gone on a journey by car, and adopted a quieter lifestyle that includes meditation, playing the banjo, and sporadic online appearances. However, this week brought a significant event for the plush green puppet: his first televised interview since the show’s termination.

PBS interview teases bright future for Tiny Chef

In a conversation with PBS News Hour, Stephanie Sy interviewed Tiny Chef in Los Angeles about his life following the series’ cancellation. When asked how he was coping, the chef honestly shared, “To tell the truth, things were challenging for a while.” He further stated, “You’ve got to grab hold of yourself, lift your spirits and appreciate the beauty around us. I told myself: ‘Cheffy, it’s time to find the next exciting journey.’

In response to being questioned about fan support, Chef expressed sincere appreciation by saying, “To be honest, I wouldn’t exactly label them as fans. Instead, they feel more like friends I have yet to meet.

The most tantalizing hint was dropped by Rachel Larsen, a co-creator of Chef, who subtly suggested that the series might make a return soon. She expressed her firm belief to PBS that the finest moments of Chef are still to come, emphasizing caution for any future moves. For the moment, the team is concentrating on their social media presence, but their optimism is unmistakable: Chef isn’t hanging up its apron just yet.
