Timothée Chalamet’s ‘Marty Supreme’ Lands HBO Max Release Date

Timothée Chalamet didn’t win an Oscar for Marty Supreme this weekend, but a movie’s success isn’t just about awards. Soon, more people will be able to see the A24 film when it starts streaming. While it’s been available to rent or buy digitally, many viewers likely haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. Fortunately, it’s coming to HBO Max next month, which should introduce the movie to a much wider audience and potentially build a bigger fanbase.

Although you can still find A24 movies on other streaming services, a new agreement with Warner Bros. means HBO Max will be the first place to stream many of their biggest hits, including a wide range of their films. Streaming options are always changing, so Marty Supreme might appear on other platforms later, but it will debut on HBO Max on April 24th, followed by a premiere on HBO on April 25th.

A24

While Timothée Chalamet is known for his roles in popular films like Dune and the Bob Dylan movie A Complete Unknown, Marty Supreme hasn’t gotten quite as much attention – a movie about historical ping-pong just doesn’t have the same appeal as a sci-fi epic or a film about a legendary musician. If you missed it in theaters or are curious to see the performance that could have earned Chalamet an award, you’ll soon have another opportunity.
