Adamn Killa, a Chicago rapper known for his provocative TikTok videos where he challenges police to arrest him, has been taken into custody.
TikTok has seen several trends recently that have required police intervention. These have included harmful pranks like people kicking in doors, and an increase in car thefts targeting specific models. Interestingly, police departments have also started using TikTok, with some officers creating videos resembling gameplay from the video game Grand Theft Auto to showcase arrests.
Chicago rapper Adamn Killa started a popular online trend called “arrest me, daddy,” which has helped him gain nearly 1 million Instagram followers and almost 1.3 million TikTok fans.
Adam Kelly, known as Killa, had a habit of approaching police officers with his hands up, announcing his usual phrase, and then playfully dancing if they didn’t arrest him. However, on November 10th, the police unexpectedly followed through with his request and took him into custody.
Arrest me, Daddy TikTok trend creator arrested
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, rapper Kelly was briefly detained by police after interfering with a traffic stop. He was handcuffed and held in a police car, but released without being charged.
“I got out and I went and made more ‘Arrest me, daddy’ videos right after,” Kelly told the Chicago Sun Times.
He explained that his intention with this trend is to encourage police accountability by challenging the practice of officers concealing their badges and identities.

On November 11th, the rapper shared his usual style of videos online. In the videos, a police officer could be seen reacting to Kelly’s dancing, playfully saying “come on, bro” and shaking his head with amusement.
The other officers mocked the rapper when he tried to talk to them, and instead of arresting him – which is typical – they let him go.
It remains to be seen if Kelly will be arrested again as he continues to make the videos.
