A woman gained attention online for sharing details about her long-distance relationship with an Irish man, and she’s now back in the spotlight after revealing she found out he was cheating on her right before her planned trip to visit him.
Okay, so this is kinda wild. Apparently, towards the end of 2025, actress Theresa Rowley told everyone this guy, Sean Rooney – he’s Irish – DM’d her. She didn’t respond right away, but they eventually started chatting, and they really clicked! She actually flew all the way to Ireland to hang out with him, which is a pretty big step, right?
Rowley, living in Texas, continued to share videos about his long-distance relationship. Several of these TikToks became very popular, gaining millions of views, and many people online have been touched by their story.
The couple, who previously received media attention from the Washington Post, the Irish Independent, and CBS News, have split up after Rowley discovered her partner was unfaithful.

The actress shared a relationship update on January 20th, explaining that she’d learned another woman was messaging with her partner, Sean.
Rowley suddenly revealed that her partner had been unfaithful, then unexpectedly started an Irish jig and gave the camera the middle finger.
I was so glad to hear from the American again on January 21st! He shared a bit more about what happened, finally giving us some extra details.
She admitted that while finding the person you love is wonderful, discovering they’re also connecting with others can be surprisingly okay too. She mentioned receiving a message from one of the women Sean was talking to, hinting at his activities.
Honestly, do I really want to relive this? I was practically packed, less than 12 hours from flying to Ireland to see my boyfriend for Christmas, when I got this message – a random ‘hey girlie’ from some woman online. And it came with… well, about thirty screenshots of her and my boyfriend basically detailing everything they wanted to do together. It was awful, and not something I’m eager to remember, to say the least.
Rowley explained that the women were aware of the relationship, but still offered well-wishes. She also shared screenshots she received from a friend showing her ex-partner messaging another woman.
Her ex-boyfriend, Rooney, has deleted his TikTok account, so the account Rowley used to mention in her posts is no longer available.
He has yet to respond to everything, and it remains to be seen as to whether or not he will.
