At the U.S. Creator Summit, TikTok revealed new tools powered by artificial intelligence and shared important news about how creators can earn money. These announcements demonstrate TikTok’s commitment to helping creators succeed and making the platform more accessible to everyone.
Smart Split and AI Outline are new features designed to help creators produce content more quickly and efficiently, with a clearer organization. Plus, eligible creators will see an increase in their monthly earnings thanks to an improved payout system.
TikTok is rolling out changes to make it easier for users to create videos and earn money. These updates give creators more control over their content and allow them to connect with their fans in ways that can generate income.

AI tools designed to streamline creation
TikTok Studio Web now offers Smart Split, a tool that automatically turns longer videos into shorter, TikTok-friendly clips. It can resize videos, add captions, and even create transcripts for content longer than a minute, making it easy to share podcasts, vlogs, and other long-form videos on TikTok. Users can choose how long each clip should be, customize the captions, and upload everything directly within the tool.
TikTok has launched a new AI tool called AI Outline to help users plan videos before they start filming. You can give it a topic or choose a popular trend, and it will suggest titles, opening lines, hashtags, and a basic six-part structure for your video. You can then customize this outline to fit your own creative vision. Currently, AI Outline is available in the U.S., Canada, and a few other countries for users 18 and older, and TikTok plans to expand access soon.

Increased revenue share for subscriptions
TikTok announced updates to its Subscription program, giving creators a new way to make money. Now, creators can earn as much as 90% of the revenue from monthly subscriptions, after fees, by offering fans exclusive content and benefits.
Creators initially earn 70% of the revenue TikTok generates from their content. They can also receive an extra 20% bonus each month if they meet certain criteria: having at least 10,000 followers, reaching 100,000 views in the last 30 days, and posting at least three videos exclusively for their subscribers during that time.
TikTok explained that the recent AI features and subscription updates are designed to help creators succeed on the platform by giving them better tools to make content, connect with viewers, and expand their reach.
Twitch recently introduced a new tool that uses AI to automatically create short video clips. However, some users are worried this could lead to a flood of low-quality, AI-generated content, which they’ve jokingly called ‘AI slop’.
I was so excited to hear back from the company! They said this new feature is really aimed at helping most streamers – apparently around 75% of us – who don’t currently save clips of our broadcasts. It’s great to know they’re thinking about making things easier for everyone!
