Prime Video announced the hosts for the next season of The Grand Tour: TikTok star Francis Bourgeois will join James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, who are known for their automotive YouTube channel, to present the show.
The new six-episode series will be available on Prime Video in late 2026. It follows three drivers as they journey across the globe, tackling incredible driving challenges. They’ll face tough terrain like the Angolan desert in racing cars, dive into Malaysia’s unique car scene, and then head to California to put high-performance vehicles to the test.
This news arrives two years after the original presenters – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May – finished their run with a final adventure filmed in Botswana, ending a hugely popular era that lasted over ten years.
Francis Bourgeois, known for his popular TikTok videos, is the new host of The Grand Tour. He’ll be working alongside YouTubers Thomas and James from Throttle House, taking over from the previous Top Gear presenters.

Who are the new Grand Tour hosts
James Engelsman and Jethro Holland are the people behind the popular YouTube channel Throttle House. They’ve gained a large following – millions of subscribers – by creating detailed and visually impressive car reviews, covering everything from the latest supercars to classic and unique vehicles.
Holland is a Canadian automotive journalist and race car enthusiast who often writes about fast cars. Engelsman is known for his passionate car reviews and unique vehicle choices – he even owns a Toyota Century, a luxury limousine originally made for the Japanese Imperial family.
Bourgeois became famous worldwide thanks to his popular TikTok videos about trainspotting, gaining almost six million followers. He’s also a qualified mechanical engineer who used to work at Rolls-Royce, and has a remarkable ability to identify trains and other vehicles just by the sound of their engines.

When asked about joining the show, Bourgeois admitted it felt like a daunting task, comparing it to Mo Farah trying to run a race in oversized, ill-fitting boots. He described the experience as something he’ll be curious to see how it unfolds.
Engelsman playfully remarked on the unexpected collaboration, saying he’d been working with Thomas on car videos for nearly ten years and realized the only thing they needed was Francis Bourgeois.
Holland admitted that his first reaction to hearing about the reboot was thinking anyone who took the job must be foolish.
According to Prime Video’s Tara Erer, finding new leads was a thorough process. She called the chosen three ‘exceptional talents’ who can continue the series’ spirit of adventure.
Producer Andy Wilman agreed, explaining that the new hosts weren’t just copies of the previous trio, and he was impressed with how well they worked together.
