TikTok star Epic Gamer Grandma has died at the age of 78, her family has confirmed.
Agnes passed away peacefully at 9:20 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2025, with her daughter, Pauline, by her side, her family announced online. They shared that she died as she lived – surrounded by love.
The family shared their deep sadness, explaining how they helplessly watched their mother, a woman known for her strength, gradually lose her ability to speak. Now that she has passed away, they are overwhelmed with regret for all the unsaid words.
Family reflects on life and online legacy
The family wanted to remind everyone that before Agnes became known online, she was, first and foremost, a loving mother, grandmother, and caregiver. They explained that for most of her life, she wasn’t a social media personality; she was simply a daughter, sister, mom, grandma, neighbor, and friend – she was a beloved presence at home.
Her family was surprised when she became a popular creator later in life, describing her as “Scotland’s biggest elderly creator.” But despite all the attention, they emphasized that she remained, at heart, simply their beloved grandmother, “Nana.”

The family said she inspired people of all ages, leaving a legacy for older viewers who realized it’s never too late to learn something new, and for younger viewers who understood that age is just a number.
In her last months, messages from fans were read to her, letting her know she was loved and supported. Even when she was unable to reply, she was aware of the outpouring of kindness and felt all the love being sent her way.
The memorial ended with gratitude for the online community that embraced her later in life. Her family shared, “You all became a second family to her.” They also explained that “Epic,” her online handle, wasn’t just a name—it truly reflected who she was.
