Steve Bridges, a TikTok comedian and content creator, passed away on October 17th at 41 years old, according to his wife, Chelsey Bridges.
Chelsey shared a heartfelt video on TikTok announcing the passing of her husband, who died peacefully in his sleep on October 15th. They had been married for 16 years and had three children together.
I first discovered Bridges through his hilarious videos – he’d create these over-the-top characters, like those ‘baby daddy’ skits or the ones where he played a super-pushy solar panel salesman. Seriously, it was so relatable and funny! He built up a huge following – over 2 million people across TikTok and Instagram were watching. Plus, his wife, Chelsey, was often in his videos with him, which was awesome.

With tears in her eyes, Chelsey explained she wanted to share the news personally, before she lost the ability to do so. She remembered Steve as a loving husband and father, and pointed out that the online personas he created didn’t reflect his true personality.
She described him as a wonderful father and husband. She added that he was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of making people laugh, thanks to the internet, and she was incredibly grateful for that.
Chelsey requested support and understanding from the community as she and her children mourn, and mentioned they might continue to honor Steve by sharing memories of him online.
After the news was shared, fans filled the comments section with messages of sympathy and appreciation, with many highlighting Bridges’ genuine humor and the positive influence he had online. His family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of his funeral and provide support for his loved ones.
