This Xbox Console-Exclusive Dungeon-Crawling Game Is Coming To PS5

Indie studio Microbird Games has announced that the dungeon-crawling game, Dungeons of Hinterberg, will debut on PlayStation 5 from March 13th. Originally launched in July, the game was initially accessible on Xbox Series X|S consoles, but it also saw release on PC platforms. Notably, PS5 users can anticipate an additional episode, though it’s yet to be decided if this extra content will be extended to Xbox and PC players as well.

Located in a quaint Austrian village now bustling with tourists due to the unearthing of labyrinths teeming with monsters and enchantment, Dungeons of Hinterberg places you in the shoes of Luisa, a weary office employee yearning for an escape from the mundane. If you envision Tintin intertwined with The Legend of Zelda, you’ll have a fair idea of what awaits you in this game. Engaging combat and dungeon exploration are integral aspects, as players must employ their acquired abilities to navigate these intricate settings that present challenging puzzles along the way.

During the day, the game is primarily focused on action, but at night, you can explore the town, make new acquaintances, and build relationships that could aid Luisa in tackling fresh hurdles such as perilous creatures and exhaustion in upcoming attempts. The Dungeons of Hinterberg has received a “generally positive” rating of 80 on TopMob’s affiliated site Metacritic, with many critics commending the game for its appealing aesthetics, relatable narrative, and enjoyable gameplay.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that one more fantastic title from Xbox Game Studios is making its way onto my PS5! It’s part of Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy, so get ready for the high-octane racing experience of Forza Horizon 5 this spring. Additionally, strategic minds like mine will be thrilled with the upcoming releases of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold on PS5 later in the year.
