This Prior PlayStation Exclusive Is Coming To A Nintendo Platform This Year

I’ve been a PlayStation fan for ages, and it’s amazing to see how much the brand has changed! I remember when it was all about fun, colorful games like Crash Bandicoot. But then they really switched things up, and started focusing on these big, cinematic adventures like Uncharted and The Last of Us – those became the games everyone associated with PlayStation, and honestly, they’re incredible.

This also involves trying to get other companies to make deals for games that are only available on one platform. A popular game that will be available for a limited time is coming to Nintendo systems soon, and it will be the first time this series has ever been playable on those consoles.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits Is Coming To Nintendo Switch 2

It’ll Be A Complete Edition

Ember Lab announced that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 this spring. This version will include everything that’s been added to the game so far, including the anniversary downloadable content and a New Game+ mode.

Josh Grier, CEO of Ember Lab, shared his excitement about the reveal of the Switch 2. He stated that they’re thrilled to bring Kena: Bridge of Spirits to a wider audience, allowing players to enjoy the game both at home and on the go. Grier also expressed how much the team appreciates the support the game has received since its release and is delighted that even more people will now be able to experience Kena’s story.

Originally released as a PlayStation exclusive in 2021 through a partnership with Sony, Kena: Bridge of Spirits later became available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2024. Now, it’s being released on the Switch 2, and it’s impressive how long the game continues to be popular. Plus, the sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, is also scheduled to launch this year.

This is a major release – the game won both Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards in 2021, and it has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.

Kena Will Make Its Switch Debut Very Soon

With DLC

We still don’t have a specific release date beyond “spring 2026,” but we do know a version of Kena is being developed for the Switch 2. Given how well other games have run on the Switch 2 since its release, we can expect this port to be a smooth and reliable experience.

Most games are still released for only a few systems, but Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an exception and is gaining popularity on many platforms. Now, even more players will be able to enjoy this critically acclaimed game when it’s released on the new Switch 2.
