The first images and poster for the horror film This Is Not a Test feature star Corteon Moore. Moore, who plays Ellis Stevens in the MGM+ series of the same name, is continuing his work in the horror genre with this new movie about a zombie outbreak.
I just got a first look at some images from the new movie, This Is Not a Test, and they’re definitely grabbing my attention. The first one shows Sloane, played by Olivia Holt, completely covered in blood – talk about a dramatic start! The second image features Sloane alongside Moore’s character and a bunch of their classmates, and everyone looks absolutely terrified. It’s setting up a really intense vibe, and I’m intrigued to see what’s going on.
The movie’s official poster shows the characters caught in the massive hand of a zombie, and it includes the tagline, “School’s out for the zombie apocalypse.” You can see the poster and read the official story details below.

When Sloane’s hometown is thrown into chaos, she and a few classmates hide in their high school for safety. As the situation worsens, Sloane starts to understand what it truly means to survive and decides to fight for their lives.
The movie stars Holt and Moore, along with Froy Gutierrez, Luke MacFarlane, Chloe Avakian, and Carson MacCormac. Adam MacDonald wrote and directed the film.
The new zombie movie will be in theaters on February 20th, distributed by Independent Film Company and Shudder. It was picked up for distribution before premiering at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in October of this year.
Like his previous film, From, Moore will star in This Is Not a Test as someone fighting for survival in a remote place, facing terrifying creatures. However, this time he’ll play a high school student who has to fend for himself without the help of any adults.
In addition to a new horror film scheduled for 2026, the fourth season of From is anticipated to arrive next year. Filming with Moore and the entire cast finished in November, but a specific release date hasn’t been revealed.
The third season concluded with Ellis witnessing his father, Boyd Stevens, descend into a troubled state following a brutal interrogation. Meanwhile, Ellis was finally reunited with his wife, Fatima, after the truth about her unusual pregnancy came to light.
Aubrey Holt, who also appears in This Is Not a Test, has been in Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, the upcoming horror movie Heart Eyes (due out in 2025), and various Disney Channel projects. Meanwhile, Macfarlane has a recurring role on Apple TV+’s Platonic, voices Rick on Prime Video’s Invincible starting with season 2, and will appear as Tim Allen’s son in the new ABC comedy Shifting Gears.
Before working on This Is Not a Test, Gutierrez appeared in Hocus Pocus 2, The Strangers: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, and several episodes of the HBO comedy I Love LA. MacCormac’s previous roles include appearances in Shazam!, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Clown in a Cornfield. Avakian recently starred in an episode of season 2 of Brilliant Minds.
