This special edition, arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on December 2nd, includes the full RoboCop: Rogue City game, the ‘Unfinished Business’ expansion, and extra downloadable content. It all comes packaged in an exclusive steelbook case, and the price is just $50. You can find it at many online stores now.
In our review, we gave RoboCop: Rogue City a 7 out of 10, praising how well it captures the feeling of being RoboCop and its fresh story set in the gritty streets of Old Detroit. As critic Richard Wakeling noted, fans of RoboCop will appreciate the many references and the game’s faithful recreation of the original films’ atmosphere. The attention to detail is excellent, even including a return performance by Peter Weller as RoboCop. At its best, the game truly makes you feel like the iconic hero.
The new RoboCop: Rogue City Collection is a physical release only, but you can still buy both RoboCop: Rogue City and its expansion, Unfinished Business, separately on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. PC players can find the Deluxe Edition of RoboCop: Rogue City on Steam for $44 (originally $60) and Unfinished Business for $24 (originally $30) through Fanatical. Physical copies are also available for PS5 and Xbox, but buying them individually will cost more than the $50 Steelbook Collection, so it’s worth waiting for that if you can.
If you’re a RoboCop fan like me, you’ll want to check out some of the Blu-rays available right now. I’ve been eyeing the RoboCop 2: Collector’s Edition on 4K Blu-ray – it’s $24 on Amazon and comes with a ton of extras, like commentary and behind-the-scenes features on the special effects and adapting the story. There’s also the Director’s Cut on 4K Blu-ray from Arrow Video for $35, which has extra scenes that weren’t in the original movie. If you’re looking for something a little cheaper, the original RoboCop: Collector’s Edition is on sale for $22.49. All three are available now, and they’ll definitely help tide me over until the RoboCop: Rogue City Steelbook Collection comes out on December 2nd!
