This Gundam Game Finally Arrives In West, No Longer Vita-Exclusive

Bandai Namco has unveiled the remastered version of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Battle Destiny, scheduled to debut on May 22 for both PC and Nintendo Switch platforms. Originally launched in 2012 exclusively for the PlayStation Vita in Japan, this game is now making its global debut.

In this exciting game, you can take on the storyline missions and re-experience scenes from the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny animated series. You’ll have the option to join one of three factions: Earth Alliance Forces, ZAFT, or the Archangel.

In this upgrade, you’ll find enhanced graphics, a more legible user interface, plus some handy additions such as lock-on mode and better tuning options. Additionally, there’s a new set of features designed to enhance your experience, known as quality-of-life improvements. The promotional trailer gives a brief overview of the game, and it appears that while the text will be in English, the voiceovers will continue to be in Japanese.

Approximately 100 suits will be offered, with a diverse range coming from different spin-offs of the Gundam anime series like Mobile Suit Gundam Seed C.E.73 Stargazer, Astray, X Astray, VS Astray, MSV, and Destiny MSV.

Bandai Namco isn’t new to transferring Vita games to contemporary systems. Just last month, they released Freedom Wars Remastered on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. You might remember that Freedom Wars was initially a Vita exclusive, but it was published by Sony back in 2014.
