This gun makes every other weapon in Borderlands 4 obsolete. It can replace them all

Okay, so Borderlands 4 has a TON of guns, naturally. They’re split into the usual types – SMGs, pistols, sniper rifles, and the ever-powerful Truck. Honestly, not every gun is amazing – I’m looking at you, Frangible – but each one has its own little hurdles to overcome. It’s a grind to master them all, but when you do, it feels great! But there’s this one shotgun, the Armored Bod, that kinda breaks the rules. It lets you skip a lot of that pain. So, I want to dive into what makes it so good and how you can actually get your hands on it.

How to get Armored Bod Shotgun in Borderlands 4? It’s not that hard.

The Armored Bod Shotgun is a unique legendary weapon that doesn’t look like a typical gun, and that’s by design. It’s special because it functions as all five weapon types – pistol, sniper rifle, shotgun, assault rifle, and submachine gun. This means you can complete challenges for each of those weapon types simultaneously, and it also lets you fully utilize Class Mods and Enhancements specific to each type. It’s a really useful item to have.

Want to get this gun? It’s pretty straightforward, but you’ll need to advance the story first. Start by finishing the main mission, “Shadow of the Mountain.” This unlocks “The Toil of Spoiling Vis” in the Abandoned Auger Mine, located in the Carcadia District. The quickest way to reach the mine is by fast traveling to the Final Defiance station.

Inside this cave, you’ll need to defeat a boss named Axemaul. The fight isn’t too difficult – just stay far away and use corrosive, then incendiary weapons. Keep in mind that the reward for beating Axemaul is random, so you might not get the Bod Shotgun on your first attempt. If you want to improve your chances, try playing on a harder difficulty. Good luck!
