The charming French romantic comedy titled “This Enchanting Lady” and the amusing French comedy known as “Disappearing Goats” have been added to the roster of MPM Premium, a sales company based in Paris. At the upcoming Unifrance Rendez-Vous event in Paris, this sales company will present these films to potential buyers.
Jean-Luc Gaget and Raphaële Moussafir’s film, titled ‘This Charming Girl,’ is set to hit French theaters under Nour Films. The movie stars Pauline Clément (‘C’est la vie’, ‘Intouchables’, ‘Maria Rêve’), Arthur Dupont (‘Normandie Nue’, ‘Fanon’, ‘The Outsider’), Emilie Caen (‘Ducobu’) and Karin Viard (‘Polisse’, ‘La Famille Bélier’).
The movie revolves around Clemence, a witty yet reserved Parisian woman who experienced a difficult upbringing. At thirty years old, she grapples with low self-confidence. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Paul, a strong-willed individual often referred to as “Paul Pot.” As she ponders, could he be her perfect match?
The production companies are La Féline Films, Les Films du Capitaine and Karé Productions.
“This Charming Girl” will have a market screening at Rendez-Vous on Jan. 16.
Marie Rémond’s upcoming film titled “Vanishing Goats” boasts a talented cast that includes José Garcia (“Nous Les Leroy”), Marie Rémond herself, Olivia Côte (“My Donkey, My Lover and I”), Gustave Kervern (“The Perfumes,” “Effacer l’historique”), and Lolita Chammah (“Barrage”).
The movie centers around Elise, who’s struggling in all aspects of her life. Caught in a damaging romantic entanglement and unexpectedly thrust into the role of theater director after the passing of renowned Groutchov, her mentor, she’s also grappling with an unusual condition known as panic disorder. Though she strives to hide it, this new affliction significantly alters her perspective on life. Could this challenging situation serve as a catalyst for Elise to reevaluate her outlook on life?
Films Grand Huit (“Ghost Trail,” “Mikado,” “Disco Boy”) is the company responsible for its creation. The French theatrical rights, however, belong to KMBO.
MPM Premium will show a promo reel at Rendez-Vous.
Among the upcoming movies from the studio are:
* Hernán Rosselli’s crime drama “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed”
* Caye Casas’ horror film “The Coffee Table”
* Lotfi Achour’s social drama “Red Path”
* Diego Figueroa’s psychological thriller “A Yard of Jackals”
